The resource provides a central location for faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and advanced graduate students to post information on opportunities for undergraduates to conduct research, scholarly, or creative activity and for undergraduates to identify and apply for these positions. Research opportunities may be paid, for credit (i.e. independent study), or volunteer.

Upstate New York Policing Research Consortium
Description:
Laura Warren Hill, PhD is an associate professor of History in the Department of Human Development in the College of Community and Public Affairs. She is the author of Strike the Hammer: The Black Freedom Struggle in Rochester, NY, 1940-1970 (Cornell University Press, 2021), co-editor of The Business of Black Power: Community Development, Capitalism and Corporate Responsibility in the Postwar Era (University of Rochester Press, 2012) and a frequent contributor to Black Perspectives and various academic journals as an author and reviewer. She is currently writing a book about the policing and wrongful conviction of women – especially Black and transgender women. Her teaching interests center on community organizing and community development, social movements – specifically, civil rights and Black power.
This is a joint project with scholars from various institutions. UNY-PRC: A Research Consortium for Policing, Justice and Community Knowledge serves as a hub for local, state and national research, FOIL requests, tracking compliance with state and federal edicts, as well as informing policy and practice across upstate New York.
We accept applications for research interns who have an interest in community research, public policy and social justice.
