Background

Junko Ikeda Schwartzman, also known as Ikeda-sensei, has been teaching Japanese language at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ since 2017. Starting in the fall of 2023, she started the role of coordinator for the Japanese program.

Before joining ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, Junko had the opportunity to teach at various academic institutions, including the SISA Language School in South Korea, Purdue University, Rutgers University and SUNY New Paltz.

At ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, Junko has been working on the development and instruction of a variety of Japanese language courses, including elementary Japanese, advanced Japanese and business Japanese. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to enhancing her teaching methods, curriculum development and promoting cross-cultural communication and understanding.
